Whats wrong with my knee?
I hurt it 2 years ago running and it never quite got back to 100% but I hurt it again last weekend skiing. I have pain when i walk coming from the center left part of the knee. I also have bad pain when i stand up after sitting with the knee at a 90 degree angle for over an hour. Also if im sitting in a chair and extend my leg straight out and rest my heel on a box and relax my leg i get extreme pain from the interior of the knee.

meniscus tear, it is the cartilage in the knee, sometimes they heal on their own and sometimes you have to have surgery to fix it
I’m not a doctor, but I play one on TV. It sounds like you’ve either broken a piece of cartilage and it’s floating around in there or you’ve torn a ligament and it’s not healing properly. Either could be pressing on a nerve and causing you pain. Get an MRI to see what’s going on.
Sounds bad, you didn’t have the injury dealt with the first time so now you should see a specialist. ie sports doctor & have it X-rayed.
you probably strained the muscle called the meniscus. You should consult a chiropractor and get some electrical muscle stimulation and pulsed ultrasound. If it worsens and you have insurance he would send you for an MRI. That test will reveal exactly if you have something of concern. Hope you feel better. Meanwhile put some ice on and off for 10 minutes at a time. And Ibuprophen will help the pain.
