How much activity should my husky get on warm days?
I have a husky mix that’s about a year old, and she has a very heavy fur coat. I’m worried about her becoming overheated during exercise, because during the winter, we would cross-country ski for 1-2 hours nearly every day. Now that it’s warmer outside, I don’t want her to overheat when we go out, but she is used to a lot of daily activity. About how much walking/running does she need on a daily basis? She always has water available, and she even gets Frosty Paws when I think she might be too hot.

I would continue the amount unles she shows signs of becoming overheated such as heavy panting. also its a good idea to exercise early in themorning or at night when it is cooler make sur she has plent of water. bring a water bottle with you on your walk take breaks if needed
i know huskies become easily overheated, you can spend a good amount of time outside but in my experience, i had a husky girl, in georgia where it gets pretty hot, and she’d only last about an hour of walking on a trail in summer months. we would wind up having to carry her back to the car if we over did it. they’ll let you know, laying down, heavy panting, things like that. just give her plenty of breaks, and i wouldn’t go out for 1hr+ walks except before 10am(as it gets closer to summer) and after it gets cool in the evenings.
