i’m running in this beauty pageant for my yacht club, and if you win your crowned the "princess " and i have to read this essay about myself, but i also have to give a copy to three of the judges. is the spelling and the punctuation correct ? thanks!

"Hi ,

I’m Emily ******,and I hope to be ******Yacht Club’s princess for the 2010 boating season.

I’d first like to thank everyone who encouraged ,and supported my decision to run for princess this year. You’ve all given me the confidence boost i needed. And i want to especially thank the judges for taking the time to come out today, and judge our pageant.

Secondly I want to tell you a little about myself. I’m sixteen years old,and attend ********* High School as a junior, class of 2011.
I’ve played lacrosse my freshmen ,and sophomore year. And plan to continue doing so. Playing lacrosse has shown me my strengths….and weaknesses. I’ve learned how far I can really push myself, and that if i want something bag enough,to just go for it. Besides playing lacrosse I enjoy tubing off the back of my jet-ski. The adrenaline rush I feel is incredible, almost indescribable. When its to cold to go tubing,i love watching movies. From the classics like ‘The Breakfast Club’,and ‘Pretty Woman’ to new releases like ‘Across The Universe’
As for my goals I want to maintain a high GPA in school this year, and volunteer in projects to help save the bay,and one day i want to eventually own my own salon and day spa.

Lastly I want to say why I want to be the princess of ******** Yacht Club. I feel that I’m the right choice, because I truly ,and sincerely love everything about **********,and I want to do everything I can to keep ******** the best it can possibly be. And I care about our bay ,and I think having the title of ‘princess’ I could really get the message out about keeping our bay healthy. Also our last princess left some pretty big shoes to fill, and I know that with my commitment, and enthusiasm I can fill those shoes. Also no matter how challenging ,or difficult being a princess becomes, I will not give up. I never do.

Thank you!"

******** is personal information.

thanks!

Which is more essential to peak performance and avoidance of injury?

My calves, thighs and glutes are strong and defined (from skiing moguls), but I’m concerned about joints and ligaments. I’m double-jointed, which may be contraindicated for certain stretches.
Thank you for bringing up the issue of bone density, as well. I think — at my age — I’ll probably do well to just maintain my muscles, bones and ligaments, instead of trying to build them too much.

Just watching these young Olympians ski (so fearless!) makes me wish I was 22 again, and could "bounce back" from an injury as quickly.

I have been plagued with head, neck and arm pain since I was a young boy. Both of my parents have the same neck problems as does my sister. I want to learn how to try and reverse the kyphosis and regain my cervical lordotic curve. I worked and played hard and ruff growing up, and have been paying the price all along the way. From around age ten I started to do work that a growing, developing child should not be allowed to do or required to do. Too much weight, not enough rest, poor nutrition, bad matress, football 7 years, wrestling, track, baseball, surfing, skiing, etc. My pain is becoming progressively more intense every year and my ability to do many of the things I enjoy is rapidily fadeing. I have a pathophysiologic fusion at C6C7 and nearing fusion at C5C6. I am heading for a solid continual kyphosised cervical BONE. My goal as a physician myself is to research every aveneu possible prior to surgical intervention. I want to try and reverse this already advanced problem to as near normal as possible. I am committed to learning the proper techniques for stretches and muscle building to overcome and actually reverse kyphosis and restoring the natural lordosis. I will have to have an osteotomy at the C6C7 and C5C6 pathologic fusion to allow me to regain lordisis. But before I get to surgery I want to at least be as physically prepared as possible. If I am sucessful then I can help others with the same problem. I am looking for a state of the art physical therapy forum or individual that can provide written instruction for me to follow. way of learning these techniques, with diagrams, graphs, pictures, statistics, and any additional forms of informing me how to do these stretches and exercises while stationed in Afghanistan and Iraq, for the next 3 years. Please help me in my endevor and I will help others.

I’m 13 and as you already know I want to get into the USAF Academy. At my school we do physical fitness testing and I for the past 2 years have been meeting or exceeding the standards listed for men at the U.S.A.F.A . Though we do not do Push-ups i have tested myself with a couple of friends and i achieved 42. On my report card for the end of the year i received all A’s and two B’s the B’s were in English which was a B+ and the other was a regular B and it was in computer I only received that because my was on an older computer (a toaster as people at my school call them) this computer didn’t have all the nessisary programs that i needed to get an A on the test. i am in sports such as Football, freestyle skiing(trick skiing), golf, and tennis. I have never been in serious trouble (such as drugs, alcohol, vandalism, and so on and so forth.
This summer I plan to be involved in volunteer work. I would like to know if i am a likely pick or if i have a chance to get in to the academy.
